L’histoire du Product Management<\/em> est une aventure passionnante qui remonte \u00e0 la nuit des temps. Depuis que l’\u00eatre humain a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9changer des biens et des services avec ses cong\u00e9n\u00e8res, le Product Management a \u00e9volu\u00e9 pour devenir un domaine cl\u00e9 au sein des entreprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au fil des si\u00e8cles, le Product Management a subi de nombreuses transformations, influenc\u00e9es par les diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9volutions agricoles, industrielles, sociales, technologiques et manag\u00e9riales. Ces transformations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 motiv\u00e9es par les contraintes et les opportunit\u00e9s contextuelles, ainsi que par les nouvelles attentes des populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La r\u00e9volution industrielle du XIX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle a entra\u00een\u00e9 une augmentation sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent de la production de masse, ce qui a cr\u00e9\u00e9 de nouveaux d\u00e9fis pour les entreprises en termes de gestion de la qualit\u00e9, de la logistique et de la commercialisation des produits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au XX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, le d\u00e9veloppement de la culture de la consommation et des m\u00e9dias de masse a entra\u00een\u00e9 une nouvelle \u00e8re pour le Product Management<\/em>. C\u2019est le moment historique du passage d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 o\u00f9 la demande \u00e9tait sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 l\u2019offre \u00e0 une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 o\u00f9 l\u2019offre est devenue sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la demande. Les entreprises ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 se concentrer davantage sur les besoins et les d\u00e9sirs des consommateurs, ce qui a conduit \u00e0 une explosion de nouveaux produits sur le march\u00e9 et \u00e0 une exigence croissante sur leur co\u00fbt. Ils doivent d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre plus optimaux et moins chers pour remporter l\u2019adh\u00e9sion des clients et les march\u00e9s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le product Management d’aujourd’hui est une r\u00e9ponse au passage d’un monde o\u00f9 l’offre \u00e9tait inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la demande \u00e0 un monde o\u00f9 la demande est inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 l’offre<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Sur la question de l’adh\u00e9sion des clients et des march\u00e9s, nous pouvons citer deux mouvements qui ont influenc\u00e9 le Product Management<\/em> actuel : Le marketing bas\u00e9 sur les Relations Publiques, et la production bas\u00e9e sur le Toyota Production System (Lean). En effet, l’av\u00e9nement des Relations Publiques initi\u00e9es par Edward Bernays a permis \u00e0 certaines soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de devenir comp\u00e9titives face \u00e0 des entreprises techniquement performantes avec un investissement dans le marketing. Et le Lean Manufacturing (Toyota Production System) est le point de d\u00e9part de la d\u00e9marche dite \u00ab\u00a0agile\u00a0\u00bb que l’on continue de d\u00e9velopper aujourd’hui. Il s’agit d’une philosophie de production centr\u00e9e sur les clients, et se concentrant sur la valorisation de l’humain l\u00e0 o\u00f9 le Taylorisme tentait de la r\u00e9duire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019histoire du Product Management est riche en \u00e9v\u00e9nements cl\u00e9s et en transformations passionnantes. C\u2019est un domaine qui ne cesse de se r\u00e9inventer pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins des entreprises et des consommateurs, et qui continuera d\u2019\u00e9voluer dans les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir. On imagine facilement, par exemple, qu\u2019avec la rar\u00e9faction des ressources, le Product Management sera de nouveau amen\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9voluer…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
